A student at the Catholic College de Montaigu, serving as a courier for the Inquisition, is murdered by members of an extreme Lutheran sect for the packet of letters he is carrying. Remarkable parallels to our times

This is a good adventure, rich in historical detail, with a believable level of violence. Set during the Reformation in France, there are many parallels to our own times - corruption in high places, plots and traps and machinations of the powerful all playing on the hatreds and fears of the ignorant, and science struggling to bring light into a world emerging into a new paradigm.
