With its lighthearted approach out of the mouths of babes (literally ), this book offers an alternative to the many parenting tomes that are impossible for sleep-deprived readers to get through. As... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This book is a must have for any new parent. It is fun to read, easy to pick up and put down, which is perfect for a new mother, and it is filled with wonderful gems of practical advice and tips. It is definitely written with the busy new mother in mind, and I love the way the book is divided into categories rather than baby months. I really recommend this charming and delightful book.
Fun and easy to read!

I picked up a copy of the book for an expecting co-worker and the more I read the book...the more I read the book. The tips are easy to read and the humor makes you want to read more! I have since shared a copy of the book with other co-workers including my boss (mother of two) and my sister who has purchased several copies for expecting friends of hers! Feel free to read other child safety books that are written by Dr.'s and PHD's that are hard to read...or pick up a copy of "The Baby Rules" and have fun learning about your new bundle of joy!
Informative and FUN - what a concept!

I bought this book for a co-worker who just had a baby, and he loved it! It's loaded with valuable information, but it is still incredibly easy to read (unlike some reviews I've read recently). The tone is light and playful, but the message is a serious one. It's well-organized in easy-to-reference chapters, and full of practical tips that just might not have crossed the busy new parent's mind. While it doesn't profess to be the only reference a first-time parent needs, it may likely be the easiest one to fit into her busy schedule!
Excellent advice in layman's terms!

I found this book a "must"! As terrific as the WHAT TO EXPECT books are, this is in the same vein but in one book! Although some information in the book would be considered common sense, there was just as much if not more information given that I was unaware of. It made me that much more appreciative to my friend who had taken time to research a great children's advice book for this first-time mother!
Very useful, very funny

I just finished this book and am the mother of a small son. I found it refreshing and interesting to have a book written from the baby's perspective. I loved the chapter on bathing. Lots of the information was presented from a different angle so it seemed new and perhaps forgotten gems from the person who everything most effects. The Baby. I will be giving this book to all my friends expecting children and who already have them.
