Having spent the summer this year reading all three series by Parnell Hall also writing as J.P. Hailey I can say stop and make time to read his books because they are entertaining and attention holding series. You can start with Stanley Hastings series---and move to the delightful Puzzle lady books and finish with J.P. Hailey books. The last series is my favorite. True to fashion "cannot put it down" courtroom drama with a humor twist. Never heard of this author before this spring and was delighted to find the series I am reading right through in order. Wish the series had more books in it! You will not be disappointed if you love mystery, courtroom drama with not too heavy a theme and humor to boot. Not extremely complicated but enough to keep you guessing and amused as you read.
Great read

Mix Earl Stanley Gardner with some smart humor and you have a great read. There were some scenes that had me laughing out loud. I'm reading my way through all of Parnell Hall's books (Hailey is a pseudonym) and I'm loving his stuff.
