Many, many simple recipes any teenager can do learning the "old-fashioned" way of cooking. There is also a surprising "Not Too Refined, Please" chapter on organic growing and recipes, including some info I didn't know on yoghurt! Very advanced for 1972, I say.

I actually own a copy of this book. It was my mom's and she handed it down to me. I have found mny of the recipes in here to be really good. The waffle recipe is the one my family has used for years. Several of the dishes are absolutely yummy. To each their own taste wise, but actually owning a copy of the book and using it will help one form a more realistic opinion.
