A work of Roman Catholic speculative eschatology. This book examines over 500 verses of Sacred Scripture in order to discern the plan of God for the future of the Church and the world. The author's conclusions are startling and controversial. The tribulation (the end times, the apocalypse) is divided into two parts: the first part for this generation, and the second part for the distant future. The end times begin with four sets of events, the so-called four horsemen of the apocalypse: (1) World War 3, (2) severe civil unrest, (3) food shortages, rationing, and famine in wealthy nations, (4) death from a variety of causes and the effect that the fear of death has on society. This book also predicts a number of blessings from God for this generation: a Warning from God which illuminates the conscience, a day of consolation, a day of miraculous healings, the unification of all Christians in one holy Church, a great Ecumenical Council which settles many disputed questions, a very holy Pope called the Angelic Shepherd, the effective spread of the Gospel to very many souls, and a time of peace and holiness for the world. The author, Ronald L. Conte Jr., is the translator of the Catholic Public Domain Version of the Bible, a conservative Catholic translation of the Latin Vulgate. He is also the author of the books: The Catechism of Catholic Ethics and Forgiveness and Salvation for Everyone . His other theological works cover diverse subjects, including: moral theology, Mariology, Biblical chronology, and several additional books and booklets on eschatology. Chapter List: 1.
