Comprehensive book on the Friendliest Dog

This book covers everything from the history of the breed, where to acquire your new family member, diet, exercise, grooming, housebreaking, health, training and even end of life issues. Each chapter is well organized, clearly written and has nice color illustrations. Inserts throughout the book includes helpful tips that reinforce the material. The appendix includes the standard of the breed, various breed associations, listing of pet sitters, therapy societies, training resources, rescue groups, websites, and publications. A DVD accompanies the book on training, which is not Bichon Specific. If you're considering a Bichon or already have one, this book is one of the best. Conclusion: If you have allergies and want a dog that doesn't shed, needs little exercise, need a loving pet and companion, and want a very intelligent friend, I highly recommend a Bichon Frise. I highly recommend this book.
