Once upon a time there was a spot. A big blue spot. It was all alone. Until one day . . . Follow the big blue spot as it drips and races its way through the pages of this fun, interactive book, eventually finding just the friend it has been searching for. Told in catchy rhyming verse, this simple yet clever story introduces children to the concept of combining colors to form new ones. Who knew spots could be so much fun?
An absolute must have for any toddler and pre-schooler! I bought this last summer for my two-year-old daughter and now, this delightful book, full of easily learned text and brightly-colored illustration that doesn't overwhelm, is a must read every night at bedtime. She eagerly acts out the story to help the spot find a friend. She even enjoys the dedication at the end.
Terrific

Peter did a wonderful job with the text and he used the book itself to convey the concept of mixing colors. We read this tomy 4 year old twice cover to cover before she would let us put the book down.

Everyone in the world, old and young alike, need to feel loved and get a primal satisfaction from finding a friend. This book reminds us all of that simple fact of life. It does this using the elegant simplicity of color. My daughter doesn't read yet, but she loves the imagery in The Big Blue Spot. This book is a brilliant stroke of genius, from an author that I'm sure we'll see alot more of in the future.
