Well written and entertaining.The story line was believeable and painted an accurate picture of small town Ireland and the interactions between locals and outsiders.I'm eagerly awaiting Ms Greaney's next book.

An excellent insight to the contradictions between village life and modern life in Ireland. The author makes very relevant references to those "good citizens" in Ireland - and in small towns in general - who try too hard to do (what they think is) the right thing. It's a good read for Irish Americans who have yet to see just how much Ireland has changed in recent years.
