Solomon never thinks it's strange that he has two belly buttons--until he finds out that no one else does. Is having that extra belly button good or bad? Things look worse and worse until an unexpected encounter makes Solomon appreciate what it means to be a little bit different. This one-of-a-kind story from bestselling author Stephen J. Dubner ( Freakonomics ) and illustrator Christoph Niemann will strike a chord with anyone who feels like an exception to the rule.
Buying the book based on the illustrated audio version

I found the book via illustrator Christoph Niemann's site, and watched the excellent video version. I love it enough that I'll buy it for myself, and probably as a gift for other little kids in my life. Also a big fan of Freakonomics, and LOVE the Spielberg shout-out.
My nephew laughed

I bought this book because I loved Freakonomics and wanted to support Stephen Dubner, but I wasn't sure how good it would be...I have read tons of "great books for kids" that I was less than impressed with...But, this was really cute. My 3 1/2 year old nephew paid attention when I read it to him, he laughed out loud and even asked to hear it again. That is a good sign to me. There is a "famous movie director" in the book too who is so clearly Steven Spielberg that it made me chuckle.
