She'd learned every trick her tycoon father could teach her. He wasn't going to outwit her this time. She'd escape to finish the hazardous job she'd started. Jase Culhane had thought he was kidnapping a sulky kitten and found himself with a spitting, clawing wildcat. But from the moment she found herself in Jase's arms, she knew she was in real trouble. It would be too easy to surrender to become a willing captive. Comment: I stayed up really late so I could finish this book. At first I didn't like him at all, but he got better once he realized her father had lied to him about her character and that she wasn't really a spoiled little rich girl. But by that time, he had decided she was a keeper, so it was a battle. Parts of it were really funny. The last reviewer mentioned the animals. The escape attempts were funny too. And the way she fought him back, a little spitfire. Definitely not a wimpy handwringing heroine.

Jase Culhane is tricked into kidnapping Colby Duncan to 'save' her. On his ranch he discovers that all the animals respond to Colby even against their owners (provide much humor). Love Colby's efforts to escape.
