I think it is funny when Hank gets in trouble and when Pete tricks him.

I've read a number of the books in this series and this is my favorite so far. What a wonderful writer! Our child only looks for these books in the school library. Any other book and he's all over the place having to be constantly told to sit down and finish the book. This one-- he begs me to read it to him because he likes how I do Hank the Cowdog's voice, but when there is a song or poem written by "Hank" in the story he has to read it or sing it himself. He's a great little reader but he likes to be read to and this writer makes that a fun thing to do. I hear more little boy giggles while we're reading these books than at any other time. And this one had us wiping tears of laughter away all the way through. He thinks Hank is the best character in the book. I think Slim Chance is the best. But then there's not much difference in Slim and Hank, now is there??

I love all the Hank books, and this is a great one for the Christmas season. These books are hilarious and more important to the young reader, fun to read. I'd also check the rest of the series. Author of "Hobo Finds A Home" editor "Of A Predatory Heart"
Saddle House robbery Was The Best!

This book was very intertaining and funny. Hanks sings a very funny song about being trapped in Madagascar that really is only a tight space beneath the machine shed. His imagination is often hilariously exagerated. This story is sure to make you smile and laugh.

This book was as good as any other hank book. Like with any good book I suggest u read it.
