Within this box lies the secret language of the Celts. To life the lid is to discover an ancient method of communication-and a means of divination. In the Celtic Ogham or tree alphabet, each letter embodies the spirit of a tree or plant, here represented on a richly decorated card. Whatever your question, doubt or worry, the 2,000-year-old wisdom of The Tree Oracle provides remarkable guidance and insight for Twentieth Century men and women. Contents: -25 beautiful tree cards-Illustrated book of explanation-Record sheet and pad
This set of divination cards comes in a sturdy wooden box and the cards are beautifully illustrated. I wish everyone would agree on the trees and meanings of the Ogham, but this version works for me. The book has a handy reference list on the inside cover with card meanings and page numbers for more detailed interpretations. Charts are included for card layouts, but I like to simply pull a card and reflect on whatever the image brings up for me. Excellent gift for Celtic fans.
Great - Very informative.....

When I received this pack in the mail I was not expecting what I got - but it was wonderful once I opened it up and started reading the book and looking at the cards and putting two and two together. The set is housed in a beautifully crafted wooden box with reading sets, layouts and beautiful book which lays down the history and everything that you could possibly read about the Celtic tree and Ogham. Would thoroughly recommend it to any Irish/Celtic enthusiast.....
My favorite!

This amazing little set is based on the Celtic tree alphabet, the Ogham (pronounced oh-um). As one reviewer mentioned, this is not just a tarot deck with tree cards: this is a completely different divination system. The Murrays present a complex layout which I think is rather exhaustive, but gives a very clear insight. If their system is too much, though, you can use other layouts; I've had good results with the standard Celtic cross layout and the three-card spread as well. The book is well-written and informative, and each card's meaning intertwines with the history of the tree. You can also use your own associations with the trees to interpret the cards' meanings. For me, the deck is incredibly accurate, and it's the one I turn to most often for omens or other divinatory purposes. I thought the wooden box was a nice touch, too. ;)

i *love* this system, it's got beautiful cards, an interesting and informative book on their origins and meanings, guides to readings, and they have a wonderful feel to them. they are just really really nice cards =) i use them more than the ordinary tarot, because i prefer them, they're equally accurate for me, but there's an indefinable *something* about them that i like =) if you're into trees, celtic stuff, nordic stuff, or pretty cards, get these, do, they *are* lovely. did you know colin murray killed himself by sitting down and eating a plateful of yewberries? yew is a gateway to the otherworld. colin was a wise man... moo ha ha
Beautiful and insightful

At first it's complex, but with practice this system can provide many insights. The subtle, delicate artwork sets the tone perfectly.
