Being the gourmand that I am, I especially liked the section on eating for cheap, and sometimes for free. Good cheap tips and witty banter make for an amusing read. Now I need to find a book like this for London.

Although we love to travel,being on a fixed income has dampened our plans. What a surprise to be able to visit the City on the Bay and not go over budget! We saw plenty of city sights,ate at great restaurants and didn't go broke on accommodations. Wish we had this book years ago.

Ms. Solomon has found all the activities that are the reasons we love to live in a culturally rich city like San Francisco. She writes about some of my favorite spots, but also so many things I never found on my own. I wish I had read this years ago. Buy this book and plan to fill your calendar!
