NOT The Worst-Case Scenario Survival Handbook: Christian Marriage

But that wouldn't be a bad guess because editor Kristofer Skrade clearly grasps the basic premise of that wildly successful series: combine useful advice with good humor and attractive illustrations, which are in fact provided by the very same artist, Brenda Brown. (The title page specifically states that it is "based on the trade dress" of the more famous series which is "used with permission of and under license from" that series' publisher.) Thus good common sense tips on how to date, get married, survive the first year, the early middle and late years, and deal with fractious issues, all in a truly Christian manner, are combined with illustrated tips on how to light the Unity Candle without setting the bride's hair on fire and how to identify an ill spouse (with helpful diagram). Note: this is essentially The Lutheran Handbook on Marriage with the Lutheran specific material removed. Thus Lutherans might prefer their specific version. Scripture quotations are from the NIV. The other books in this series are The Christian Handbook: An Indispensable Guide to All Things Christian and The Christian Handbook for Pastors.
