Four bizarre, high-profile killings in two days. Even for the NYPD's elite Major Case Squad, that's quite a bloody handful. All four victims were themselves predators; violent drug dealers and thugs... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Justice is a well constructed police procedrual from someone who has been there done that. Dan Mahoney ranks up there with Michael Conneley and James Lee Burke. His story is to the point, not absorbed with filler, but moving the story along. It follows the muderous trail of a killer of drug dealers into a logial conclusion.
Superior NYPD novel

"Justice" is not Dan Mahoney's best novel (that would be "Black & White") but it is still a great read about the NYPD, specifically a pair of Detectives vs. a highly skilled vigilante. Considering there at at least a half dozen tv series about the same general subject (Law & Orders, CSI, etc), it is a credit to Mahoney's skill as an author to keep the reader not just interested, but fascinated by his page-turners.
