A Great Book That Is Very Helpful!

I am a nurse and found this book to be very helpful. Dr. Brown writes in a way that is easy to follow and that makes the application of these principles seem realistic. I would definitely encourage others to read this book.

I am a physical therapist and my husband is an accountant, and we both agree that the attributes Dr. Jeff Brown discusses in this book are applicable in our jobs. As Christians who strive for integrity throughout the day, this book provides support as well as examples of how to have integrity in our jobs and all the situations we encounter in life. We would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a educational, inspirational, or motivational book.

Since I first heard about this book, I have been very excited to read it. I just finished it and was certainly not disappointed. I would strongly recommend The Competitive Edge to anyone who is serious about his or her character and integrity. Whether you compete in sports, or in other areas like business or school, you will be able to apply the principles that Dr. Brown shares to your life. The book is filled with quality examples and stories to help illustrate the points Dr. Brown makes, and these examples really allow the reader to connect on a personal level with the book. Also, as a major league baseball fan, I really enjoyed the afterward that is written by Curt Shilling. Since reading the book, I've found several topics that I've been able to apply to situations in my life. I'm sure that I will revisit this book again in the future to help me continue to maintain my character and integrity. To sum up: A great, insightful book that I would recommend to anyone!

Jeffrey Brown's The Competitive Edge is straightforward and very practical. His anecdotes are easy to understand and shed light on the points he makes. His stories are often fun and always intriguing. He defines winning (or any success) in ways that work for the long haul. If we follow his strategies now, in the future we could look back on our lives and be able to say that we lived well. Each chapter ends with a handy review list. When the reader is ready to apply the principles their own life, I would recommend compiling their own handy lists based on Dr. Brown's book and adapted to their personal needs. Entertaining and to the point! Thumbs up!
