Dr. Kwong is wonderful

I'm lucky enough to have Dr. Kwong as my allergist. After my first appointment, I was very impressed by his bedside manner and attentiveness. He conducted the most thorough workup on my health situation that I'd ever had by a doctor. I knew that this would be the beginning of some much needed relief. I read his book after my appointment and it did not disappoint. Like his patient demeanor and friendly approach, his book does a very nice job of explaining allergies in a way that people without a medical or scientific background can understand and relate to.

Being a pack rat, I especially appreciated the chapter "Surveying and Cleaning the Home," which has educated me about clutter. Each chapter offers its own surprises. I have learned that in buying a condo or renting a unit, I should be provided with air ducting design information. I didn't suspect that in some buildings the exhaust from one unit actually becomes the incoming air of the next unit. There is even a chapter on sex and allergies. Yes, you can be allergic to your partner.THE COMPLETE ALLERGY BOOK is a wonderful reference volume for every home. It enlightens and clarifies, and in case of serious trouble can be a lifesaver.

I needed a book that would help me understand my allergies and how to live with them. This book was exactly what I was looking for. The author uses easy to understand terms that makes it an enjoyable read. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone that suffers from some sort of allergy.
