I also borrowed this book from the library and now I'm definately going to buy it! It gives all the basics like most other books, but the sections on crocheting garments and shaping makes it stand out for me. The clear directions and photos were what I needed to help me get over my apprehension of crocheting a sweater. And a correction to the previous review - there is a "Yarn Detail" section in the back of the book that lists the yarns and colors used in the projects in the book. Overall, this is a must-have for any crochet library.
