I found this book to be just as good as the first one, The Crystal Prophecy. This book takes up the story of Drew, Susan's brother. Ms. Tarantino's characterizations are thorough and in depth. You come to know and care about the people in her story. Her descriptions and her use of imagery enables you to visualize the world she's created in stunning detail. Both The Crystal Prophecy and The Crystal City are intense, detailed stories of good -vs- evil in a world in the far future. They contain multifaceted plots of suspense and tension interwoven with a budding timeless romance. I highly recommend both books.
