I first read this book when I was about 15 and loved it, I am now 27 and still love it. I have read it about 10 times, and even though the characters are "Perfect people" (eg healty wealthy wise and good looking) and there are a couple of continuity glitches all in all I found it to be a very well told tale, with a nice dose of history draw it's story from. I recommend it throughly.

I read this book at the age of twelve, loved it, but didn't really understand it. Now, at 18 I have read it again, and found that I still love it. It am thoroughly impressed, and am amazed that I can be so turned on by a book. This book is a complete excersize for the imagination, and if you're still lucky enough to possess one, then read this, as I am sure that you will love it too!! John Tigges, you are the MAN!!
