Wow. This book is awesome! I found myself wrapped up in it from the beginning to the end. There is also a rumor circulating around that this book/series was actually written by Robert Jordan. He apparently wrote this under some assumed identity. I also know this is a 5 book series, so the previous reviews missed the point. This book was an introduction to a new world. It was meant to leave some unanswered questions, but I thought it tied up a few of the loose ends nicely. It reminded me of the first Dragonlance book, Dragons of Autumn Twilight! If you have not read this book you and you love fantasy, then you are missing out! It is worth the read!
