A sex and violence filled thriller that uses Cambodia as the backdrop

Continuing to write new fiction based on the deceased Harold Robbins legacy, The Deceivers is a sex and violence filled thriller that uses Cambodia as the backdrop. The story set up is probably more forced than it needed to be - disgraced art expert Madison Dupre is approached by a Thai restaurant deliveryman with a bas-relief sculpture from what she suspects is the Angkor Wat temple complex. She's caught with the art by the NYPD and they give her the option of going to jail or undercover for them in Cambodia. Cambodia leads Madison to the sex, violence, death, and the legacy of the Khmer Rouge. Much of the sex seems gratuitous, and not in a classic Robbins sort of way. Still, fans of Robbins will probably enjoy this book, as will fans of Eric vanLustbader or Clive Cussler.
