Someone once said, "There are two types of writers, those who plan every page, and those who simply hear voices." Mike Matthews is certainly the latter of the two, and in this experimental work, he has released the voices in his head by crafting THE PITCHentirely as pure dialogue to create an amazing reading experience. While your hands will know you are reading a book, your mind's eye will watch a movie unfold, giving you a real-life encounter limited only by your own imagination. There's no "he said, she said" descriptive filler cluttering the pages, or the action. Just the real-life conversations you would hear when you're standing right where Mike puts you, at the center of it all. THE PITCH is the first installment in The Destiny Chronicles, a 6-part series destined to set a Guinness World Record as the longest novel written as pure dialogue. Each installment picks-up right where the previous one ends, providing a continuous flow as the series digs into the multi-faceted lives of characters so real, their voices will haunt you. THE PITCH THE PUNCH THE PATCH THE PEACH THE PORCH THE PERCHThe Writer: While earning his creative writing degree at the University of Illinois, Mike Matthews was named a 1995 James Fellowship Semi-finalist for a Novel in Progress for his literary piece, In the Garden. Since then, Mike has embraced his passion for combining creative fiction and non-fiction based on people he has encountered during his travels, and is known for weaving the intricacies of tragic love and desperate hope into a kaleidoscope of adult literature. The Windy City Writers Club: While in high school, Mike founded the original Windy City Writers Club in 1984 for the sole purpose of bringing together other writers committed to the craft. Today, there are over 30 WCWC nationwide that embrace their mission of discovering and developing talent through various writing contests and other services. The Publisher: In 2004, Mike lost a dear friend and an original WCWC member. Recognizing life is too short, Mike retired from corporate America and launched North Avenue Publishing. Since then, NAP has released a variety of anthologies composed of winning contest submissions and works by individuals. The Philanthropist: Aside from fees paid directly to NAP's nationwide network of editors, proceeds are often used to fund a variety of Young Author Contests. The Legacy: NAP serves as the main conduit to the Windy City Writers Club legacy by printing limited runs of anthologies that are donated to libraries and shelters across the country. Each publication inscribed with the original motto, "Fear not for you are not alone, but are loved and understood as much as you love and understand." www.NorthAvenuePublishing.com
