Hoping to learn a bit more about the Frankfurt School (& a fan of classical music), I thought this book would be a pleasant read. Instead, I find it full of ramblings, & a lack of understanding of some very basic Christian concepts. The author sounds as though the Garden must’ve been boring until Eve sinned, giving us free choice. Wrong! We had free choice : to obey a simple command (to not eat of one tree), & Eve chose poorly, & as we see today, blamed others (Eve blamed the serpent, Adam claimed “it was the woman you gave me...”!!!) If he can miss something so fundamental, it calls a great many things into question. You won’t learn anything much about the Frankfurt school here that you haven’t heard somewhere else. This book was a waste of time & money. And boring too.
