I was not prepared for how much I was going to love this book. I'm not a stranger to crime novels, and I've watched more than a person probably should of Forensic Files, and never, ever, has there been a crime as brilliant as this. An ending that makes sense without you feeling cheated; you just want to clap the culprit on the back and tell them it was a job well done.
This was the first thing I had ever read by Keigo Higashino, and I've since read anything of his that I can get my hands on in English trying to recapture the feeling I had at the end of Devotion of Suspect X. I haven't found anything. This book is the gem. This book is the one you want to tell everyone to read. Read it.
