This is a fast-paced murder mystery with a three-dimensional protagonist. It has some points in common with "To Kill a Mockingbird," all of them good. I couldn't put it down. The only caveat is that it contains material that is suited for the mature reader; if it were a movie, I would rate it R, and I would see it twice, maybe more.
