The art of divining, or dowsing, has for years been cloaked in mystery and superstition. Recognized by some as a means of finding water and minerals, it is actually a method for anyone to develop intuitive skills. This thought-provoking book demystifies dowsing and presents this ancient science as a powerful tool for self-knowledge. Includes a brief history of dowsing, and step-by-step instructions for learning to use L-rods, Y-rods, and pendulums, as well as non-device dowsing. Shows how dowsing is used for locating water, gold and other minerals, buried artifacts, ancient ritual sites, and in police work to help find missing persons.
This book explores all the root problems associated with digging wells and finding water. How much water flow per minute, how deep to dig, are there obstructions in the path of the drill to the water source, which way does the water flow,is it clean water, hard water, is it plentiful year round. Before digging a well I wanted to have all these questions taken care of. After reading this I hired a Dowser to tell us where to put a well on our lot. He corrected our landscape plan to get the septic away from this well. Previous planners did not engage in any of these issues. We would have been drinking toilet water folks!!This book is a must for home builders.
