I am a therapist helping people with pornography addiction. For years, many people struggled in knowing what do to to help a person or love one over come their sexual addiction. This book is "cutting edge" and the author has done a brilliant job in his research and in presenting a "method" that will assist those who are struggling with pornography addiction. It is easy to read, yet very informative and useful. I feel that every therapist, wife, mother, clergy and especially the person struggling, can benefit from this book. I highly recommend it!
First major book to bring attention to mind-body addiction

This book is easy to read and of the many books I've read on pornography and sexual addiction, this is the first one to really bring attention to the mind-body connection and to brand it an "addiction." As I continue to research for my own book, I have collected many stories of people whose lives have been destroyed or are in bondage to this addiction. I have learned that those who have struggled with this problem have found help through 12 step programs. It's time our society recognize pornography for what it is: the most difficult addiction to overcome. Cocaine and heroine will eventually leave the body and the chemical can have no power over the person. But visual images stay in the brain and come back to produce the chemicals that trigger the physical response. I recommend this book to anyone who is seeking basic, readable information about the nature of this addiction.

What a great book! Kastleman does a great job of providing important information in ways that are easy to understand the literal effects of porn on a person. Who knew? The information is exciting since a person can quickly understand how their body responds to porn, meaning that they are normal to respond to porn-that they are not a pervert because it is stimulating. The book also helps us realize that because porn is so stimulating that it is just like a drug, a damaging addictive drug, which we must avoid. One of the best parts of the book is its outline of what we can do to get out of the porn trap, how we can help family members who are caught in the trap, and a realistic perspective that it takes more than just wishing to get free. This book helped change my life. Thanks!

I have read this book and consider it to provide a more complete understanding of how pornography affects our society and how it affects the human body as a "drug." Indeed, pornography is a drug addiction just like cocaine, marijuana, or alcohol since it alters the chemicals in brain. A must read for anyone who is suffering from pornography addiction or for anyone who wants to help someone with pornnography addiction.
