A simple trip to Phoenix to visit friends of her father, Nancy finds her self on a plane to South America. Looking for clues to a ship that sank with a large cargo of textiles. Her plane trip to Phoenix leads her to San Francisco and to Chinatown during Chinese New Year! Meeting new friends Elana and later Ricardo help her stay safe in South America while continuing to figure out the mysteries that keep coming up. A beautiful villa with many hiding places and secret passages helps Nancy keep hidden. It is quite an adventure for Nancy, can she use her detective skills to figure it all out?
The first of three in a row well written Nancy Drew Mysteries full of twists and turns and interesting characters. Number's 75, 76, and 77 in the series will definitly be worth reading for young teens and older.
