History repeats itself!!

It is a good collection of scholar essays in the transnational networks and trans-Pacific Interactions. It covers different areas and time periods between China and America, especially in the recent years after PRC founding from hostility to opening of 1979. Each essay is valuable with detail references. This interaction not only affects the two countries, but also influences the Chinese in America, especially in the political status. Wen Ho Lee is the case in point with 59 felony charges and in a plea bargain, only one minor sticks with Judge Parker apologizing on behalf of the government. It is a “kill the chicken to warn the monkey”. A Chinese face is never trusted in the sensitive research of military hardware. This book was published in 2002 and unfortunately, ugly history repeats itself in accusing scientists from China work for the communist government, especially connected with military. Chinese have a saying: grass and trees are all soldiers a manufactured hysteria! This book is highly recommended for all American politicians.
