A Satanic cult has infiltrated the highest reaches of Washington... and they're the good guys! Les Whitten really outdid himself with this novel. It follows the main character's ascent from a mild trade publication editor to a fixer for some of the most corrupt and sinister political figures imaginable. There are some technical quibbles. The hero's final triumph probably would've been inadmissible in court, but I didn't let it bother me. You shouldn't either. Don't miss this one. I could've done with or without the Fangs of Morning. It's nothing to write home about, but for a vampire novel it's not bad.
