The Feasts of the Lord give us a clear map of our journey in the Spirit. The Feasts are our journey's markers that not only show the way, they are also our report card. They give reports on our progress as we undertake the journey from bondage to a new promised land. All our testing and trials are reported therein as well and so we grow and develop in the things of the Lord until finally a day comes that declares we are ready to cross over Jordan and take possession. Just like any other "babe" born into this world we are more than curious about our surroundings and those on whom we rely for our comfort and growth. The human embryo is not idle while it lies in the womb, it is learning the sound of its mother's voice, it associates her movements with those sounds. The embryo begins its learning processes before it even comes forth and so it is with our spirits within. A baby when it is born is able to identify its mother through smell and sound, faith cometh by hearing, and from there it will learn by sight. "For now I have seen Him." Joh 9:37 And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee. 1Co 15:6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. 1Co 15:7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. 1Co 15:8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. This is what the Feasts of the Lord give us, the ability to see the Lord. To see what He has done, to see what He will do and most importantly to see how much He loves us. Joh 4:41 And many more believed because of His own word; Joh 4:42 And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world. The Feasts are times to see the great things God has done for us, delivering us from bondage, giving us a land filled with milk and honey. The Feasts give us the time to reflect on how the Lord each and every year blesses our harvest, how He is a shield and buckler to His people rising up against their enemies. The Feast are but nearly one month long altogether, a short to time to give back to the loving God who has done so much. Three times in the year we are called to keep His holy convocations, in return the Heavens are opened and our crops are watered, the Earth is blessed and we reap abundantly. Let us answer the call, let us go up and present ourselves before the Lord, we need to see and hear for ourselves. Exo 23:14 Three times thou shalt keep a feast unto me in the year. Exo 23:17 Three times in the year all thy males shall appear before the Lord GOD.
