Shortly after she has signed a contract, 1940's Hollywood starlet Savannah St. Clair rebuffs a sexual assault by Vincent LeMaster, the owner of Starlight Studios, at The Garden of Allah Hotel on Sunset Boulevard. He tells her in no uncertain terms her career will go nowhere unless she has sex with him.
