Just couldn't put it down

All the clever people who have previously reviewed this book and noted the questionable theme convergence or the information overload could very well be right. Perhaps I am just not that clever because I totally loved it! I am interested in religous and cultural ficton and it ticked all my boxes. The book genuinely shocked me to audible intakes of breath and at times the horror was so intense you almost have to read it from behind the pillow. But what I genuinely enjoyed was all the reference type material that was woven into the plot. It was all so interesting that I am now so inspired I'm planning my own trip to the Near East. Great read, I really couldn't put it down (you do need a strong stomach in places!)

An exciting story if you are into religious fiction and archaeology. I am not an expert on the historical period but it was an interesting slant on the story of Genesis and the rise of religion.

For me, a novel is supposed to be entertaining. the Genesis Secret is certainly that.I ordered the book, then had to wait for a month for delivery. It was worth the wait but the two days I took to read the book were over all too soon. Mr Knox weaves a web of intriguing possibility around the very real Gobekli Tepe. More books like this will keep the mortgage paid.
