Gettysburg has become a place of mysterious, unexplainable stories of out-of- place noises and smells, of sights that are out-of-time, and of strange experiences in what should just be a jumble of rocks or a benign open field. The area is well known for its paranormal activity. More people died young and suddenly, under tragic circumstances, at a high level of emotion, than anywhere else in the entire United States. While author Mark Nesbitt cannot give you a specific time or place where you may intercept the spirits on their journeys around the area made infamous by the slaughter between thousands of countrymen, he does give the reader advice on the techniques, equipment, times of day, month or year, and probable locations to help in their quest to encounter one of the Ghosts of Gettysburg. To assist the reader, Google map links are included in the investigation sections for each of the haunted venues.
This book really has the information of locations, directions to, and tips to help you plan a paranormal investigation. I'm currently planning my 2nd trip to Gettysburg and this book is exactly what I was looking for.

Mark Nesbitt brings the Gettysburg area to life in his books, and I love them all. This field guide is great for the aspiring ghost hunter. Not only is one of the most well known haunted places, Gettysburg, described in detail, with travel directions to some of the lesser known paranormal hot spots, but Mr. Nesbitt gives a short primer on equipment and techniques for capturing paranormal evidence. And he includes many pictures of the area and tips for investigating each site. Highly recommended.
You cannot go wrong buying Mark Nebsitt's books!!!

This books tells you the more "out-of-the-way" haunts in Gettysburg (not the "usual suspects" that are over-crowded with tourists during high season. Nesbitt knows how to entertain & educate at the same time! I highly recommend HIS ENTIRE SERIES of book & his "ghost walks" in Gettysburg--if you go to G-burg, VISIT HIS SHOP ON Baltimore Street--it's a Must-Stop!!
