"A twisty, roller coaster ride of a debut. Fans of Gone Girl will embrace this equally evocative tale." --Lisa Gardner, #1 New York Times bestselling author
"I've been following her for the past few days. I know where she buys her groceries, where she has her dry cleaning done, where she works. I don't know the color of her eyes or what they look like when she's scared. But I will."
One night, Mia Dennett enters a bar to meet her on-again, off-again boyfriend. But when he doesn't show, she unwisely leaves with an enigmatic stranger. At first Colin Thatcher seems like a safe one-night stand. But following Colin home will turn out to be the worst mistake of Mia's life.
When Colin decides to hide Mia in a secluded cabin in rural Minnesota instead of delivering her to his employers, Mia's mother, Eve, and detective Gabe Hoffman will stop at nothing to find them. But no one could have predicted the emotional entanglements that eventually cause this family's world to shatter.
An addictively suspenseful and tautly written thriller, The Good Girl is a propulsive debut that reveals how even in the perfect family, nothing is as it seems.

I liked this book, it was nice to read a book where you didn’t have the book already figured out. The plot twist was actually different than most of the books I’ve read. The book was far from boring. I was able to finish the book within 2 days so not bad.
I may have a new favourite book

This is so well-written and so passionate that it made me cry--UGLY cry--at several points. The story is predictable at times, but I remained entranced by it anyway.

This is one of the few books I have ordered that I couldn't read. I got the gist of the story and read the first few chapters, but it just seemed like a bad copy of a lot of other well written books that I have read. The parents are wealthy, she is living alone and comes up missing. She made a mistake with a one-night stand and is kidnapped and held by this man. If it were well written I would have finished it, but to me it was too scattered with the back and forth between the different characters and the before and after. Some writers do this well, this author doesn't.
Great book!!

It has been a long time since I found a book I actually wanted to finish. I'm extremely busy and reading isn't a top priority, although I love it. I found this book at the airport and quickly chose it off the best sellers shelf. I found myself wanting down time on my vacation just to continue to read. When I wasn't reading this book, I was thinking about it. Read this book, it's so much better than Gone Girl!!
