Purchasing the Good Housekeeping Cookbook, was a no brainer. As a young bride in 1965 and still today it is the most used cookbook on my shelf. This new version was purchased for a young friend who will be married in the summer. I'm sure she will enjoy it as much as I have.
Makes cooking fun

This cookbook really should be in every kitchen. This isn't your grandmother's cookbook. The book is in full-color, the recipes are updated and modern, easy-to-follow, and they work. I made a delicious hollandaise sauce the other day and it was surprisingly easy. Last weekend I made a carrot cake, including the icing, and it was a big hit at my dinner party. Now, instead of thinking "Where will I go for dinner tonight," I think, "What can I make for dinner tonight." Do yourself a favor and add this great cookbook to your kitchen library.
