This little cookbook is a favorite of many Floridians. For more than ten years the author traveled Florida, collecting and testing recipes found to be popular with 'the natives' Greek Lamb Kebobs from Tarpon Springs, Fried Catfish from Clewiston, Beef Barbecue from Florida cow country, Key West Paella, Yam Praline Pie from the Panhandle. Recipes are grouped by region and each section is preceded by a mini history. Index. Line illustrations.
I was so happy to find this book. I found recipes I thought died with Grandma. God bless the author!

This book is written by a special person who touched the lives of many. As a substitute teacher, I first met her in the fifth grade in Hialeah. As a Florida native with a Cuban heritage (my mother was born in Key West) Mrs. Carlton has captured the flavors of the Keys and Tampa most accurately. Try the Key Lime Pie!
