From the #1 New York Times bestselling author comes a revised, repackaged novel sure to please her many fans. She writes "high speed comic mayhem" (Detroit Free Press); she's "a blast of fresh air" (Washington Post); "side-splitting funny" (Publishers Weekly) and "a winner" (Glamour). In other words, she's Janet Evanovich. Berry Knudson had a talent for disaster, but when she climbed a tree to rescue a kitten, she wasn't prepared for the scrumptious hunk undressing in a nearby window, or her dive downward that smashed Jake Sawyer's pizza and won his heart! But was there room in her chaotic schedule for a risk-taking inventor with dreams? She took classes, delivered pizzas, and cared for three eccentric old ladies she rescued from the train station. But Jake thrived on a challenge, and he could be very inventive. Could he teach her there was time to make butterscotch pudding and let herself be loved?
Janet Evanovich's The Grande Finale was excellent. I'm a big fan of the Stephanie Plum series, but was not disappointed. Even Janet's earlier romance novels are entertaining to read and/or listen to. The books are funny and light hearted for ages 16-100 to enjoy. I recommend them to everyone. Even my husband enjoys to listen with me.
Delightful, Fun, Light Read

First let me say I am a new J.E. reader having just been introduced to Stephanie Plum -- the reason I mention that is I'm thinking the readers who were so disappointed perhaps have their standards a bit too high after reading the Plum series. That said, I am not a *huge* romance fan in general, but I picked this up simply because of her name being on it (OK, that and the cute kitty on the cover!). I had fun reading this. Yes, it is a little dated, a little light on plot, but it is still enjoyable. It is fast and funny, just perfect for a summer lawn-chair read. It is like a sweet "PG-rated" romantic comedy film in book form. A "popcorn" book, I guess. Who doesn't like one of those as a guilty pleasure now and again? I sure do!

You just can't miss with Janet Evanovich. Even though this is one of her earlier works, there's a kick, a romance, a laugh, and a hoot with her books that always come through! Just plain fun!
