Catch a falling star.... Lobelia Falls was abuzz about the Scottsbeck drama competition. The Grub-and-Stake Gardening and Roving Club intended to win it with a dramatization of "The Shooting Of Dan... This description may be from another edition of this product.
When the opportunity arises to win a collection of theatrical memorabilia for the Architrave Museum, Dittany Monk, her western-novel-writing husband Osbert, and the rest of the crew pull out all the stops to stage a play based on Service's poem "Dangerous Dan McGrew." All of the denizens of Lobelia Falls are in top-notch form in this story, from Arethusa Monk, the Reigning Queen of Roguish Regency Romance, to Andy McNaster, the villainous innkeeper suddenly smitten by love. My favorite of the series, a truly frothy confection of drama, humor and skullduggery.
Theatrical mayhem in Lobelia Falls

Ever wondered about the origins of Dangerous Dan McGrew? You know, from the famous poem by Robert Service? Okay, maybe not a FAMOUS poem, but a good one. In this funny story, the Grub-and-Stakers decide to act out the play in the hopes of winning a literary competition. Naturally, things don't go as planned, and someone winds up dead. I really like Alisa Craig and I wish her books were more available. I really recommend this one.
