"The House on Pearl Street", the final tale in this short collection, is definitely the best and most imaginative of them all. But every story succeeds in subtly evoking feelings of discomfort and paranoia. This isn't a disposable scary story book with all the usual suspects(aside from the ubiquitous body-swap tale), it's original and well-written. I only wish it was longer! What's with the loser on the cover though? You have this background of grotesque, demonic faces, and that's cool, but then there's this guy (or girl) in a dime-store cape and skeleton mask. Just about ruined my whole day.
