As a resident of Charleston, South Carolina for the past three years I love reading fiction located here! This is an interesting and well-written novel about the struggles of those characters who live and work in Charleston. There are many "real" episodes of local history and places that actually exist. There are love interests and struggles with identfiying life goals. Although there some dense sections the plot kept me interested in knowing what was going to happen next. If you're interested in the themes of newspaper reporting and academic life, read this book!
