The History of Ambazonia from the Voyage of its discovery by Hanno to Modern Times and Contemporary Issues: History of Ambazonia from the Discovery ... Peaceful Resistance (Histories of Ambazonia)
The History of Ambazonia from the Voyage of its discovery by Hanno to Modern Times and Contemporary Issues subtitled The History of Ambazonia from the Discovery Voyage of Hanno to the Recent Peaceful Resistance is the third and final book in the Histories of Ambazonia series and strives to fortify the 2 previous books by presenting a more complete history of Ambazonia such that every reader can at least identify with or enjoy one episode in the rich history of Ambazonia. The book starts with an introduction that highlights the theme of the book as well as the themes of the major topics of the book. This leads to a complete analysis of the voyage of Hanno the Navigator during which he discovered Ambas Bay, Mount Cameroon and hence Ambazonia. This is followed by Hanno's circumnavigation of Africa voyage after the failed voyage of Sataspes and at the same time as the voyage of Himilco to northwestern Europe. This leads on to Alfred Saker and the early history of Ambazonia from the first visitors to the Ambas Bay area through to the establishment of the Ambas Bay Colony, its early community endeavours and the hard work put in by Alfred Saker to ensure the sustainability of the livelihoods of the residents of the colony, the establishment of the Ambas Bay Protectorate and its eventual cessation to German Kamerun by Britain in 1887 to an overview of the Governors and Acting Governors who held office in German Kamerun from the cessation of the Protectorate to the First World War. This is followed by the First World War in German Kamerun, the courageous efforts and legacy of General Charles Dobell who ensured that justice was done to his fallen WAFF soldiers during the war by making sure Britain claimed the areas where they fought and died and thus leading to the physical and legal births of Ambazonia as we know it today. This is followed by the history of Ambazonia under the League of Nations mandate and the British Administrative Officers in the colony during this time. This is followed by the United Nations British Trusteeship over Ambazonia, the efforts of the Ambazonia delegates in the Eastern House of Assembly of Nigeria to ensure an Autonomous government for the Ambazonians and their strides and achievements as a Democratic state and the British Administrative officials up to the eventual Independence of Ambazonia. It continues with the immediate annexation of Ambazonia by the Republic of Cameroon with the Complicity of France, Britain and the United Nations through direct actions, inaction and non-adherence and lack of follow-through of international legislations of the United Nations which allowed Ahidjo and later Paul Biya to start, continue and eventually complete the annexation of Ambazonia. This is followed by the continuous attempts made by ambazonians to free themselves from the bondage through de-annexation to no avail. Then there is an overview of the ongoing peaceful resistance of the Ambazonians since October 2016 to the time of writing and the occupying government is not doing anything constructive to bring about solutions to the ongoing problems ever since they arrested the Ambazonian Consortium leaders after they failed to intimidate them during negotiations that were clearly halfhearted as they kept committing atrocities during and after the claimed dialogue, had not released the Ambazonians who had been abducted and taken to unknown destinations and cut internet connection all over Ambazonia for 93 continuous days. This is followed by the way forward for Ambazonia as its citizens seek the assistance of the international community and the United Nations to ensure that their beloved country is de-annexed and so their sovereignty, right to self a determination and their Anglo-Saxon cultural heritage are fully restored. The book closes with a bibliography acknowledging the additional sources for information in this book and to whom the book is primarily dedicated.
