The second instalment of the Home Team series, a combination of Vince Flynn and Richard Marcinko. A select group of former Special Forces operators takes up arms against a Mexican cartel that's moved beyond drugs and diamonds to radioactive isotope smuggling. Ex-Navy SEAL Ted Reaper packed his bags for Arizona, hoping to visit a good friend and catch up on some much-needed relaxation. But there is no rest for the weary when Reaper uncovers ties to a drug smuggling operation with ties to the Mexican military. As Reaper digs deeper, he discovers that his enemies to the south may be plotting to smuggle something even more dangerous than drugs across the border--terrorists armed with a dirty bomb. Reaper tried to do things the right way, the legal way, by alerting the proper government officials and letting them deal with the crisis. But the military problem has a political component no one wants to dirty their hands with, and Reaper is asked if he can take the point in the American response. It won't be easy, it won't be official, it won't even be legal, but if the United States is going to be able to stop a threat south of the border, they are going to need to trust Ted "Grim" Reaper to recruit some Spec Ops buddies and win another one for the Home Team.
This book is an incredible story that is beyond entertaining. This series of books details the incredible adventures of men trying to keep our country safe during a time when this is a very important issue. The threats are real and reading this book, I feel that the story and action could be real. The characters are grounded in real life and I think thats what makes it so appealing.
The Threat of Terror is real.

While we watch 'The Minutemen' and debate their worth, illegals of all calibres are slipping into this country at an alarming rate. With Homeland Security unable or unwilling to stem this flow, 'Home Team-Hostile Borders' tells a frightening tale of what can easily be our next worst nightmare.
Great Read!

Chief Chalker has a hit with his second Home Team book. The action is fast paced and almost non-stop. The concept of Al Queda terrorists working with drug smugglers is all too real. My only criticism is the detailed descriptions of the Team's load out for every excursion. It's interesting to hear once, but we don't need to know which socks he's wearing with which tactical holster. I have to complain about such minute details because that's all that's wrong with the book. If you like Andy McNabb, Marcinko, or Brad Thor, add Chief Chalker to your list of "must reads"
Fantastic action/adventure romp!

The 2nd novel in the Home Team series was another great, fast-paced adventure read. Like the first novel, Undeclared War, authors Dennis Chalker and Kevin Dockery give us another hardcore action read that drives ever forward like a fully-armed locomotive. With realistic details and an all-too-real terrorist plot, Hostile Borders entertains you till the climatic, action-filled end. Ted Reaper is a hero of today's headlines. I'm glad to have found such a fun and exciting new series. I can't wait for the next new novel coming out in February. Hollywood, look no further for your new action major motion picture!!

This fast-paced novel is the second in Chalker and Dockery's "Home Team" series. I'd been looking forward to it, and got through it within two days of picking it up. Like its predecessor ("Undeclared War"), its plot is frighteningly plausible. One of the hallmarks of the series is the technical detail. When our heroes kit up, you'll learn the brand, make, model, and features of every piece of equipment; they stop short of giving you the serial numbers. Non-stop action, written by people who know what they're talking about. (I doubt if the authors are to blame for the unimaginative title.)
