My son and I love this book. It's great for learning to pronounce new syllables. We love it because it is very silly and fun!

I've done this story with different age groups, from 4 yr olds to 8 yr olds, and all loved it. The increasingly silly name of the main character helps children to identify parallels in nature. They'll have lots of fun repeating the name as well: babylizzyparroturtlehoppameleon. Though highly stylized throughout, the beginning and end are the weakest points, as children tune out anything that isn't as engaging as the fun of the story in the middle. Still, it is a riot to read and has educational merit. I highly recommend it.
