Instructions for creating dolls from around the world--witch dolls, pincushion dolls, jumping jacks--include introductory text, directions, patterns, and photographs This description may be from another edition of this product.
This book is a charmer with interesting designs that you don't normally see for dollhouses. The furniture is a bit average but the houses, especially the Japanese one and the Gypsy wagon make up for it. A Swiss chalet, Spanish hacienda, modern (70s) bungalow, and a plain Victorian mansion round out the ranks. The plans and instructions are clear and although it calls for some supplies that might not be readily found or even made now days you get the feeling you could make everything. Plans are in 1/12 scale but I bought this for my 1/6 scale dolls. We're talking sizable projects when doubling the scale but the furniture plans are included so they will adapt too. A WW2 scale collector could find the plans helpful as a start for a battle scene diorama.
