The Hunt for the Timeless Ones

Four of the oldest and bloodiest spirits in human history have simultaneously reincarnated again, this time in America. The slaughter they promise will far surpass the 150 million deaths they engineered in their 20th Century incarnations. They begin to gather the scum of Humanity to them, people so evil they earn the name "Viles," to help them sow chaos and hate in the country as they prepare for their ultimate desecration of America and the brutal extermination of millions of Americans. Those millions of 20th Century deaths caused great pain to the Supreme Intelligence that exists beyond the Life Barrier between life and death. That Intelligence determines it is time to end the millennia long slaughters of innocent people caused by these "Timeless Ones." It grants special abilities to many former victims of the "Timeless Ones" including the knowledge of their previous lives and the ability to see the previous lives of anyone they meet. It grants the further power to obliterate Viles subordinate to the Timeless Ones from the flow of human life so they will never reincarnate again to one Prime operator at a time, until the simultaneous arrival of one man and one woman who are the only people granted the power to destroy the Timeless Ones themselves. The former victims, now called "Duals," soon learn that all of humanity, past and present, are united in the Hunt for the Timeless Ones. They are joined by all the spirits from the other side of the Life Barrier who re-animate the bodies of obliterated spirits to aid the Duals in their Hunt. Their first task is to find them, and that becomes a daunting chore. It becomes clear there are six, not four Timeless ones, and further evidence indicates they are recruiting others
