Sea otters hold hands in their sleep, bees never sleep, and penguins laugh when they're tickled! This charming compendium contains over 100 pages of fascinating facts about the animal kingdom illustrated with whimsical detail.
I impulsively bought this book when I was getting ready to teach an early elementary class on Zoology. I was delighted to see that this book isn't like the typical "animal facts" books. It's beautiful in a graphic designer sort of a way. Everything is hand illustrated and written, making the book feel personal, somehow. The information in it is varied and interesting. My kindergartner and freshman both enjoy it (as do I). I like it so much that I bought another copy for my nephew.
