The city of Municiburg is protected by many superheroes, but its main champion is the ultra strong Mr Incredible - who always works alone. But things go awry for Mr Incredible and the rest of the supers when they are hit with a series of lawsuits brought by those they once saved.
Fifteen years ago, facing crippling lawsuits from an ungrateful public, the world's superheroes were forced into retirement. For Bob Parr, erstwhile Mr. Incredible, it has been a tough time going from savior of the world to unappreciated working stiff. And then suddenly, like a bolt from the blue, comes the chance to get back into the superhero game. But, something isn't right here, and the only way that Mr. Incredible is going to see this through is with the help of his family. I must admit that I absolutely loved the new Pixar movie, the Incredibles, and really looked forward to this book. Dark Horse Comics makes many comic books, including retelling movies in comic book form (such as the Star Wars movies). This graphic novel contains all four of the Incredibles comic books, and covers the same ground as the movie. So, there are no extra details or scenes that you did not see in the movie. As a matter of fact, due to space limitations some of the details are lost in this book. But, that said, it is a good graphic novel, presenting the story of the Incredibles in all of their glory. So, if you have a young reader who would like to read the Incredibles in comic book form, then this is the book for you.
