From the National Best Selling Author A Bride Abandoned Lady Jaime Macpherson learned the meaning of betrayal on the Isle of Skye when her beloved Malcolm MacLeod wed another woman to save his... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Jamie Macpherson has always loved Malcolm MacLeod and the day he married another, Jamie ran away to England, leaving behind her shattered dreams and her memories. A year later, she met Malcolm again when he was captured by Edward, the son of the Duke of Norfolk with whom Jaime was staying. Setting aside her hurt, Jaime set in motion a plan to help Malcolm escape.Malcolm MacLeod had married for convenience to help his clan and after his wife died days after the wedding, Malcolm realised his mistake in letting Jaime go. He embarked on a journey to locate Jaime and had not expected to find her so soon and in such circumstances. Winning her again would not be easy as Edward sought to make Jaime his, not because Edward cared about her but because Jaime was his trump card in his bid to gain political power in King Henry VIII's court. What I liked about "The Intended" is that the misunderstandings between Jaime and Malcolm were quickly resolved and did not drag on and on. From then on, neither Jaime nor Malcolm allowed anything to come between them and only their staunch faith, their love and trust in each other could the united lovers overcome the obstacles presented by Edward and a jealous cousin, Catherine, who was bent on destroying Jaime because Jaime stood between her and the objects of her desires.I do think May McGoldrick's earlier works are much better and "The Intended" is no exception.
A heart-warming romance!

I loved the whole concept of the story that two lovers had a second chance to renew their love! The plot was great and in the end, love conquered all else.
